Lost in Unknown Time

 Trapped in Time

Last night, my dreams dragged me into a place I had never seen before—an unfamiliar landscape, eerie and distorted, as if reality itself had glitched. It wasn’t just a dream; it felt like I had stepped into another timeline, another dimension. And in this dark realm, the creatures that lurked were nothing short of monstrous.

They weren’t just aliens, nor were they trolls in the fairytale sense. These beings were something worse—tall, gaunt figures with grayish, leathery skin and hollow, soulless eyes that glowed faintly in the darkness. Their elongated fingers ended in sharp claws, their jagged teeth bared as they grinned, sensing my presence. They were hunters, but they didn’t seek flesh. No, their hunger was far more sinister. They fed on energy, draining life force from their victims, leaving behind hollow, empty husks.

I ran.

It was one of those dreams where no matter how fast I moved, the world stretched and twisted, like time itself was unraveling. Doors appeared out of nowhere, landscapes changed within the blink of an eye. One moment, I was sprinting through a ruined cityscape with shattered buildings and flickering neon lights; the next, I was in a dense, fog-covered forest where the air felt thick and suffocating. It was as if the dream was shifting through dimensions, each one more unsettling than the last.

The alien trolls were relentless. They didn’t move like normal creatures—they flickered, appearing and disappearing as if reality couldn’t contain them. I could hear their whispers, a language that scraped against my mind, sending chills down my spine. They delighted in the chase, their laughter echoing as I slipped through cracks in reality, barely escaping their grasp.

At some point, I stumbled into a vast, empty hall made of black stone, the air buzzing with unseen energy. A single figure stood at the center—a cloaked being, faceless yet watching. It raised a hand, and suddenly, time snapped back into place. The creatures screamed in frustration as they were yanked away, dissolving into nothingness.

I woke up with my heart pounding, drenched in sweat, my body still buzzing with the residual energy of the dream. But the feeling of that other place hasn’t left me.

Was it just another nightmare, or did I truly step into another world, another timeline where these beings exist? And if so, what did that cloaked figure want from me?

Maybe I’ll find out in the next dream.
