Disturbing Dreams: When Nightmares Feels Real
Have you ever had a vivid dream, haunt you long after you had experienced it, well I had a few of those. Some dreams, can be scary, and strange,
In fact, they cross into territory that feels almost... otherworldly — as if the dream itself leaves a mark on your soul.
One dream, in particular, still lingers in my mind like a shadow I can’t shake off.
In this dream, I saw a woman — pale, almost ghost-like, with long black hair that shimmered like wet ink under a dim, invisible light. She stood motionless at first, her hollow eyes locked onto mine. Then, without warning, she reached into her mouth and began pulling. Strand after strand of her own hair spilled from between her lips, cascading down her chest and pooling at her feet. She didn’t flinch. She didn’t blink. She just kept pulling, an endless flow of black hair, as if something deep inside her needed to be purged.
I stood frozen, both horrified and mesmerized, feeling like I had stumbled into a private ritual that should never be witnessed. Even in the dream, a terrible sense of wrongness crept through me, whispering that if I stayed too long, she might turn her gaze fully onto me — and bring whatever darkness she carried into my waking life.
When I woke up, my heart was pounding, and for a moment, I wasn’t sure if I had truly escaped. That image — the hair, the hollow stare, the silent agony — clung to me for days.
Dreams like these make us question where the line between subconscious fears and something deeper truly lies. Are they just the mind's way of processing emotions... or could they sometimes be glimpses into something beyond?
If you’ve ever had a disturbing dream that left you questioning reality, you’re not alone. Sometimes the scariest part isn't the dream itself — it’s the feeling that it meant something.
Maybe it’s a warning.
Maybe it’s a message.
Or maybe... it’s a door.
