The Curse in Transit: The Haunting Tales of Annabelle
Annabelle; is currently known as, the famous haunted Annabelle doll, and the question still haunts me,is it still active? News stated otherwise, back in New Orleans suggested it could very well be, still active. Meanwhile, Annabelle isn't just any ordinary doll, and possibly demonic, inhuman spirit. She's a relic of horror, a vessel for something dark, something more sinister. Her story, began back in the 1970s, when two nurses received her as a birthday gift. At first, she appeared to be harmless, (as with any other haunted or cursed object), You would think, it would be even more creepier appearance form, when in reality its a simple Raggedy Ann style toy, with buttons eyes, and stitched lips, and the bracelet that was bought by one of the nurses, which is still on one of its arms, I believe.
Its funny, back when I was younger to trick or treat, my cousin and I decided to wear a costume, about the very Raggedy Ann and Andy, guess who was Andy? Me of course, which was OK , everything turned out cool I found this quite eerie, that years later, I would be part of the Warren Legacy Foundation for a good couple of years, and recently stepped down. But it was good to meet the Warren's grandson, who has also been on my podcast few times, he recounts the story, of the haunted Annabelle. Well, you all know the rest of the haunted, Annabelle history.
Its never a good thing, to acknowledge anything demonic, especially when its in full blown possession. Renowned demonologists, the Warrens were brought in the case. Of course, they felt something evil, possibly right away. In conclusion: it wasnt a child's ghosts, Annabelle Higgins, as a medium had pointed out, its an inhuman entity, that should never be messed with.
Forever and always, Annabelle will reside at the Warren's Occult Museum, out in Connecticut. When the Warrens museum closed temporarily, the Annabelle became part of a traveling exhibit, an attempt to educate the public, about the possible dangers of cursed objects. However, it wasn't just education, that people walked away with, its fear.
Here are some fun facts:
A museum staffer, collapsed during setup in Salem.
Unexplained storms, shadowed her arrival in coastal towns, or even set fire.
A couple of visitors in Nashville, apparently dared to mock the doll, (never a good thing). Both were hospitalized at the same night, under mysterious conditions.
Final conclusions:
Even the surveillance cams, once captured the glass door of her case swinging open on its own. The footage, was lost due to a "corrupted file," but staff swear the time code read certain numbers, (not wish to share for copyrights or fair-use disclaimer) the exact code, however its on the article. Recent activity, they still hear whispers in the night.
Closing question: Would you dare to even, visit the doll? I would, but that,s all.
